leaving social media

Leaving social media reminded me that “hard work pays off”.

When I was in 9th grade, a principal of mine used to say that day in and day out and I still use the slogan at 29. Most of my blog goals have been met for the year. Consistency is your friend. Consistency is your friend. Consistency is your friend.

Showing up for yourself consistently is the secret ingredient. I want to share the success of being consistent and authentic for all of you bloggers, entrepreneurs, boss babes, etc.

I launched the blog in 2014. I had no clue the blog would grow into something. That wasn’t my plan honestly. I simply needed an outlet, not a blog to manage. And 6 years later, I’m launching my first workshop to help others. You can register today:

In 2020, I can go off the grid and somehow the support continues:

BLOG HAS RECEIVED 2, 785 VIEWS AND MY GOAL IS 3,000.

I had a little over 300 views on the blog last year. It’s hard to believe on most days that I’m in a space where I’m flourishing.

I’m so grateful for this space and for each of you. I have a newsletter going out bi-weekly and I go live on the gram every Sunday night. I’m currently doing #blogmas for the month of December to help me reach my blog goal by 2021. I’ll be back posting on YouTube weekly and the family will be complete. Oh and the Facebook page has over 600 followers.

Whew I’m excited. It sounds like a lot but somehow I’ve managed to fall in love with the process. The best advice I can give to anyone who is looking to launch something new or who currently is unsure of where to go next with your “it” thing.

Be proud of the work that you do/create. Make it fun. Be consistent. Don’t forget to create the things that you love and not just what your audience loves. Share, Share, Share (your work and your heart with others). Be willing to change the process of what you do/how you do it but don’t change your “it” thing. Keep going. Fall in love with the journey. Remember that no one can do what you do like you. Own your truth.

When I first started out with a Facebook page, I had 10 followers. I kept showing up consistently though for those 10 people.

When I first sent out my newsletter announcement asking people to sign up this year, I only had 4 names for the longest. But I continued to share updates with those 4 people on a consistent basis.

My Instagram page went through a transition from being a personal account to a business account for the blog and I used to not get much engagement. Now I’m growing there too and people look forward to my lives. Sometimes only 3-5 people tune in because I post later in the evening but I have many more people who catch the replay. Being told that people listen to my content as they get ready for work/school in the morning is a big deal to me.

I’m grateful for this space. So grateful that I’ll never want to leave social media for good. I’ll just keep showing up for myself & taking breaks when necessary.

be inspired to work your why.

My why is that I wanted to help others find the benefits in owning your truth. So I share my wins and losses in life with the hopes that I can inspire one person to keep going and not give up. And somehow on the hunt to encourage others, I’m inspired on the daily.

Thank you, #inspocrew
