I just recently made it back home from Orange Beach, AL. I was blessed with the opportunity to attend the Saved in the City retreat this year. This ministry is equipping young women with the tools needed to navigate through life as a godly woman. I thank God for introducing me to this amazing network, full of women who desire to grow spiritually.

I’ve been attending the retreat with the ministry since 2015. This year I had made up in my mind that I wasn’t going because the extra funds weren’t there. I was at peace about my decision. The odd thing was that God told me I’d be able to attend the retreat this year, but the deadline was approaching and no extra funds had been sent my way. I told God that he would have to provide the extra.

So on the following Saturday, someone sent me $100 through PayPal. I also had a friend mention that I could room with her for free.

I thought wow, guess this is confirmation?!

Except the $100 was actually sent by accident. And the room arrangement fell through.

Now I’m looking at God like… Am I really going this year?

So I actually received $200 of the registration fee. Such a blessing!

So I register and the fee is non-refundable. So now I just need to find a group of 3 looking for one more roommate.

I search…

I text…

I email…

Everyone had already made arrangements.

Now, “I’m like here we “grow” again…”

So I received notice on 3/3 that there’s 2 people who need a roommate… only to find out that they DID NOT have a reservation made at the resort.

I call the resort on 3/4 and they tell me that they’re booked. They suggest I call the hotel next door.

They’re booked too.

I call back on 3/5 and they tell me that a King room has become available for $264/night.

I was like the devil is a whole lie.

So one of the ladies said that she would call the resort everyday to see if anything opened up.

And I said, “I’m just going to pray everyday!”

I told her that I just believed that someone would cancel their room reservation. I believed that we would receive a room with 2 queen beds. I also believed that we would receive some sort of a discount.

I was believing by faith.

Well all of the above happened on 3/6. We had a room reservation with 2 queen beds. And… they honored the special discount rate (even though the deadline had already passed).

See how God literally made room for us. He cares about me and you. He will always give you the desires of your heart, if you continue to delight yourself in him. God will always close a door of assistance that looks promising, so that you will know that it was only made possible because he saw fit to provide you with exactly what you need.

If you’re in need of healing, your broken heart to be mended, or just evidence that God hasn’t forgotten about you…

PRAYER CHANGES EVERYTHING.

God hears you, just continue to pray it through.
