Monday Blooms?

Monday Blooms?

Monday is not my favorite day of the week but I’ve grown to be more intentional about not slacking off because of that. Monday gets no love from the majority of us, but gets plenty of excuses. Friday/ Saturday plans are talked about the most on Monday. We exemplify favoritism for the days of the week, and I begin to ponder…

How many opportunities are missed because they present themselves on a Monday?

Excuses pour out daily and our cup is overflowing, it’s time to fill up with something different. You can’t fill up with excuses on a Monday though, they just make the rest of the week look cloudy with a chance of rain.

Yesterday at church…

oh by the way, Sunday is my favorite day of the week but right now I’m dedicating this whole blog to Monday. lol 😂

So back to this incident at church… I was running late which is not the usual especially if I have to serve during the service. I was placed in the far left hand corner to usher and serve God’s people and we got to the point in the service where Pastor opened up the alter for the 3 calls (Call to Life, Call to Reconnect, Call to Partner) after his message titled “They’re Waiting On Me” and he always gets us to ask our neighbor “Do You Want Me To Walk With You?”

Well because I was serving, their wasn’t anyone directly next to me on my left or right but I begin to look around to see if everyone in my section had a neighbor. I noticed on my left, a young man who seemed to be having conversation with his neighbor about going down. (God makes things obvious not for us to ignore 😉) He didn’t budge though and I wanted to stay in formation and not budge either. When the Lord tugs on your heart though and reminds you of the subject line from the message “They’re Waiting On You”

So I went over and sat directly beside him and asked did he want me to walk down with him. He responds “I just want to reconnect & I’m just going to do it next week.” I said “well next week, you know you’ll probably have the same excuse” and I politely tugged at his arm and he took the leap of faith on his own and I didnt have to go down with him.

Yes this encounter happened on a Sunday, but Monday is filled with some of the same excuses we’ve had before and I’m going to remind myself going forward when I start to formulate an excuse, the same thing I told this young man… You Will Have The Same Excuse Next Week!!!

I only had to take about 8 steps outside of my comfort zone for someone else to ‘leap’ out of theirs. Interesting enough, the number 8 means “New Beginnings” ❤️

Monday is a new day filled with new beginnings.

Today, be more intentional about tackling each assignment on your To-Do List and embrace the fact that someone, somewhere is waiting on you…
Waiting on you to ask…

Waiting on you to lead…

Waiting on you to follow instructions…

Waiting on you to speak up…

Waiting on you to bloom outside of your comfort zone…

You can do all of the above and so much more on a Monday because Monday blooms with purpose in mind.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 There is a time for everything…

For some of us the time is NOW on this beautiful, purpose-filled Monday!

#BNspired2day ❤️😘
