Living life with a purpose allows room for opportunity, Living life with a plan allows room for failure.

I have never been a fan of math, it just has never been a favorite subject of mine. I use to question if I will ever utilize any of the formulas later in life that I had to stay up all night and study for in college. When you are pursuing your personal endeavors, you might have to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in order to to accomplish your goals. This pertains to whatever distraction is keeping you from moving forward with your life. The equation ( Standard times Progress equals Elevation. ) should be my personal motto for 2015.

Set the Standard: If you’re going through life with no standards set for oneself, you might find yourself doing things against your morals to get to the top. You never want to compromise your beliefs in order to receive recognition. You have to have set goals for yourself, and be willing to invest time and effort to pursue those goals wholeheartedly. You have to evaluate your goals, and be realistic with yourself about if the goal is feasible. Regardless of where you set the standard, expectations will be met only if you require it. If you’re not requiring for your standard to be met, don’t question why you’re at a standstill. You should work so hard now, that in the near future there will be no need for an introduction, your work will speak for itself.

Progress is a Must: If you plan to proceed to greatness, you have to ignore distractions trying to hinder you. Negativity will not allow you to make progress, it will continue to hold you back. If you’re doubting yourself from the start, you will be the driving force for being held up at a green light. Believe in yourself, because you might be the only individual in your cheering squad. If you don’t stand for something, you will fall for anything. Forgiveness is the key to happiness, so leave the past in the past. If God brought you to it, he will definitely bring you through it. Be thankful for the past, it taught you something. Be grateful for the present, tomorrow is not promised. Be striving towards the future, nobody became successful overnight.

Elevation involves Separation: If it will not allow you to grow or make you happy in the end, have enough respect for yourself to walk away. If someone is constantly trying to withhold you from pursuing your dreams, then remove yourself from them. Don’t be too judgmental because you don’t know someone’s reasoning until you have walked a mile in their shoes. Don’t be so naive that you’re unaware when you’re being played for a fool. Every individual that appears in your life shouldn’t be granted a long term placement. Some people that you cross paths with will be a blessing, the rest will teach you a lesson. The people who smile in your face, could be the same individual who pray you don’t make it. This person has been viewed as your main source, updating you on everybody. This source is also the one updating everybody on you. They don’t mind seeing you do good, but they never want to see you doing better than them. Jealousy will kill a relationship because either they hate that you made it, or you hate that you had to cut them off to make it. If they were not around during your struggle, don’t give them the option to be around once you become successful. Success can not be sexually transmitted… If you plant hard work, you grow success… No need in watering someone else’s garden when you have your own to tend to.

Yesterday is a memory, Tomorrow is a mystery, Today is a gift from God… Embrace Your Past so that you can Fulfill Your Purpose so that you can Live Life With No Regrets.
